Within Volvo Group Real Estate (RE) we have a Global Function responsible for Property and Facility Management. The aim with this Function is to set a global standard for our Real Estate activities but also to support the RE operations in different tasks.
Fire Protection & Physical Security, Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Real Estate Center of Expertise
About the position

You will be part of an ambitious group of people at the Real Estate Center of Expertize and report to Director, Building Technologies & Projects for the RE CoE.
This is what you will spend most of your time doing:
Your main focus areas will include service control management, service development, support on property investment projects and market research within the expertize area, Fire Protection and Security. The work is to be conducted in very close cooperation with the Real Estate divisions, Group Corporate functions, our internal partners/costumers, Group purchasing and different suppliers. You will be part of a compact team of specialists from various Real Estate fields cooperating to give the optimal advice and support to Real Estate and the Truck Divisions and Business Areas.
What are your key responsibilities?
• Drive the development of fire protection and physical security services
• Drive and participate in relevant networks for news, trends, bench marking & best practices, both within our own organization, but also within the Volvo group
• Develop instructions, descriptions and tools (methods, products, services and systems) within RE responsibility, based on corporate security requirements
• Collaborate with divisions and Purchasing department on sourcing projects (drive or/ and support depending on scope)
• Key account management for global supplier contracts when applicable
• Support on legislation & regulations issues
• Collect feedback from divisions on deployment and quality of services
• Develop and monitor relevant KPI:s within RE operations (in coordination with Business Control, Divisions and Development & Planning)
• Communicate updates on standards, concepts, tools or services within RE (in close collaboration with Business Control when impact on accounting)
• Project budget responsibility when driving development projects
• Manage the work in accordance to the Volvo Group processes

Who are you?
You are a team player with the ability to demonstrate a clear vision and having a global mindset. You have several years of experience in Fire Protection and Physical Security (Guarding, Surveillance systems etc.) with a university degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Fire Safety Engineering or similar, We would also like you to be able to see successful evidence of people and cultural leadership skills, with the ability to demonstrate high level organizational communication skills. Preferably you have knowledge and experience of negotiations with different stakeholders.
To be successful in this position this is what we think you should have or be good at:
You have a broad experience within industrial Fire Security, and a high competence in Fire Protection Engineering and the Physical Security area. You have knowledge of supplier market mechanisms, environmental aspects and relevant steering documents within this area of expertise. Since we work in a global environment it is important to have a highly fluent knowledge of English language both written and oral. You are used to leading people within global networks and enjoy building business relationships. You are well structured and have an analytical approach and a strategic perspective in your daily work. We are having fun at work, and since you are a good team player you bring value also in this perspective.
