Description - We succeed best when nothing happens
At Boliden in Garpenberg, one of the world's most modern underground mines, we move towards producing "no-carbon zinc" in the near future. Doing so we need to switch to digitalized and automated operations run on electricity and battery.
We are seeking a Fire Protection Coordinator to find new and responsible ways of working with fire protection. As the Fire Protection Coordinator, you guide, inspire and move the work forward in Garpenberg in the areas of fire protection to ensure the safety of our employees and facilities.
With overall responsibility to:
Ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations and standards and managing permits for flammable and explosive goods.
Develop strategies, implement and coordinate resources for fire protection, emergencies, extinguishing and lifesaving activities
Identify, monitor, assess and manage risks to prevent incidents
Provide overall reports on fire protection
Lead investigations of serious incidents regarding fire
Act as a point of contact and resource for the organization, chair committees and serve as a superuser for systems
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including authorities and rescue services

To be considered for this opportunity, you have:
Proficient knowledge in Fire Protection and Safety regulations and standards, from a Bachelor's degree, Higher Vocational Education (HVE), the Fire Protection Association or The rescue service within fire and safety.
Experience in fire protection and safety, conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards, getting a head start if it's from mining or industry.
Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently as well as effectively with others at different levels.
Fluency in Swedish and English (both written and spoken).
Driver license for passenger car.
