We are looking for a Financial Manager responsible for the finance department of the legal entity in Sweden. The position is located in Gothenburg.
As a Financial Manager, you are accountable for bookkeeping, in accordance with the group guidelines. You lead and manage a team of 2 people, focus on efficient and accurate reporting and develop local processes and activities. You are part of Wärtsilä Sweden local management team and report to Baltic network Business Controller, as well as local Managing Director.
Main responsibilities:
• Ensure that the Wärtsilä global initiatives, processes and tools are implemented in Wärtsilä Sweden Finance.
• Secure knowhow and professional competence development within the finance team.
• Provide expertise in questions related to Finance & Control activities in Wärtsilä
Sweden, such as local financial and taxation requirements.
• Ensure that the reporting of Wärtsilä Sweden figures give a true and fair view of company?s financial position and is in compliance with Corporate guidelines and local legislation (corporate manual, accounting manual, local legislation, directives, etc).
• Manage treasury and bank transactions according to group guidelines and local rules & regulations.
• Implement Finance related improvements from audit reports and ensure internal control reporting is executed in proper way.
• Provide reports and conduct financial analysis on the balance sheet and performance.
• Participate in developing processes and tools in planning, reporting and financial control within Wärtsilä Sweden.
• Initiate actions to improve the financial performance of Wärtsilä Sweden and monitor and evaluate financial risks.
• Cooperate with relevant external and internal stakeholders, such as auditors, tax authorities, business responsible people, group control, shared service centers etc.
• Coordinate and monitor performance of shared services centers and outsourcing companies.
• Support in local legal entity governance issues.
Your tasks include for example:
• Financial planning and follow-up of the legal entity
• Reporting to Business Controller of Baltic network and local MD
• Daily Bookkeeping
• Account reconciliation
• Controlling of VAT, insurances, pension, liabilities etc.
• Contacts with local bank and auditors
• VAT and income tax accounting
• Monthly and yearly closings
• Statutory reporting
• Supporting and developing the organization in understanding local requirements
• Supervising the finance team

Skills required
• Proficient in Swedish and English
• University degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years' relevant accounting / financial experience
• Solid knowledge of Swedish statutory and legal Reporting Requirements
• Swedish GAAP and Tax Reporting Requirements
• Experience in working with BPO / Shared Service Center processes
• Good working knowledge of SAP FICO integration to other modules.
