The Finance Graduate program
If you are up for the challenge of developing our future Finance function and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!
During 12 intense months, you will get an end-to-end perspective of our Finance functions and how we co-drive the business, both from a local as well as from a Volvo Group perspective. From day one, you will have a permanent role in one of our organizations, where you will play an active role in daily deliveries. In parallel, you will participate in a number of common training weeks with the other Finance graduates throughout the year, do various job rotations to increase your insights of the Volvo Group and last but not least you will grow as a person. Your professional and personal growth will be supported through individual and team development sessions, mentoring, coaching and feedback.
You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business, which will help you get a holistic view and build your future career within the Volvo Group. Besides your manager, who will guide and support you in your daily job, you will have a supportive network of peer graduates, colleagues across the globe and senior leaders to help you excel. We hope you will learn as much from us as we will from you!
Our organization:
In 2022, the Volvo Group purchased goods and services totaling SEK 333 billion (EUR 31.3 billion). Purchases were made from supply partners in EMEA (50%), Americas (25%), and Asia-Pacific (25%). In its first tier, the Volvo Group has around 50,000 subcontractors of which approximately 12,000 supply parts for the Volvo Group's products. We work closely with our supply partners to secure sustainable transport- and infrastructure solutions to our customers as well as establish a sustainable operation for Volvo Group globally. We believe that behaving responsibly is the only foundation on which a sustainable business can be built. For this reason, the principles in our Code of Conduct and Supply Partner Code of Conduct are applied in all our purchasing processes.
This is us, your new team:
Group Trucks Purchasing Business Control is a global team with a presence in Sweden, France, India, China, the US, and Brazil. We work closely with the purchasing organization but operate independently. As business controllers, we are recognized as purchasing finance advisors and business co-drivers. Additionally, we are responsible for ensuring compliance in our financial transactions. We drive financial transformation through continuous improvements, digitalization, and innovation. We highly value teamwork, collaboration, as well as maintaining a respectful and enjoyable work environment.
How you will make an impact:
You serve as a business partner to the purchasing organization by both challenging and supporting the business in relation to material costs. You actively involved in annual business planning and estimation processes. On a monthly basis, you analyze the financial variances (forecast to actuals and forecast to forecast) and provide comment on the primary drivers behind price changes in purchasing. To excel in this role, we collaborate cross-functionally within Business Control, and you play an active role in driving change and understanding processes across Business Control.
Working in Purchasing is somewhat akin to being the spider in the web; you need to have contact with Plant operations, accounting, as well as the truck brands within the group. Together with your network, you ensure that we follow the set accounting processes and systems.

We are looking for the next generation experts and leaders within the Finance field, who wants to make a real difference to society. You are passionate about what you do, have a curious mind and are willing to learn. Just like us, you thrive on teamwork.
