Our Design Center in Gothenburg is the global headquarters for Geely Design and focuses on delivering great design for the two brands: Lynk & Co and Zeekr.

Lynk & Co Design is looking for an Expert Interior Designer for their Gothenburg design studio responsible for the global design of Lynk & Co interiors. As an Expert Interior Designer, you will play an important role to create design proposals ranging from initial concept work through to final production. You will support a team that is dedicated to design, innovation and technology. With members that are, just like you, proud of their professionalism, motivation and level of skills. You will be based in Lindholmen, Gothenburg.
As an Expert Interior Designer this is what you will do most of the time:
• Take a design from the sketch phase to concept modeling in Alias or clay, and through to A-class surfacing
• Mentor other designers and influence them to increase both quality and efficiency of our creative output
• Share knowledge and experience for the greater good of the team, take on management tasks and responsibility to improve the team effectiveness
• Come up with design and engineering solutions that serve the design vision and also fit with the engineering constraints
• Work with the color and trim design team to create designs that consider the opportunities and limits of the color and trim vision, and work with them to create a unified vision for the designs
• Work with the Interaction design team to create designs with excellent HMI
• Work with suppliers to achieve the best possible product in terms of craftsmanship, cost, and engineering, while also staying as close to the design vision as possible.
• Collaborate with the fabrication team to complete prototypes when necessary
Is it you?
We are looking for someone that is flexible, has a strong drive and is able to work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstances. You need to be independent and confident as well as a good team player. To be successful in the role you need to be structured, methodical and have an analytical mind with good planning skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Cultural awareness, specifically between Europe and Asia is also an important factor for the role.
You and your skills:
University degree in transportation design
Minimum 10 years experience in automobile interior design
English, spoken and written
Very strong sketch ability
Excellent knowledge of CAD 3D design process and software such as Blender, Photoshop, and VRE
Communicative with good verbal and visual presentation skills
Additional information
Travels to Asia may be needed (approx. 2-3 per year).
Each individual in our team has a high level of responsibility and is expected to be able to work autonomously.
