Aftermarket today is so much more than replacing physical parts on a vehicle. Update of the embedded software is 'business as usual', and opportunities to offer our customers new services using 'big data' are developing rapidly.
This data is being stored in the cloud 'Volvo Central Systems' - and this is your area of expertise. It ranges from Software Download services to data about how a vehicle is being used, including product log data and product maintenance history. You will also likely be involved in cyber security initiatives within Volvo Group.
Your title is Principal ESW Application Engineer, and you are the one your colleagues will come to for support when it comes to validating complex solutions, analyzing root causes of problems and collecting input for new solutions for the future.
Qualifications
• Master's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent English, oral and written
Preferred qualifications
• Knowledge about Volvo Group Central Systems is a strong merit
• Understanding of PDM logic
• Software development, especially requirement engineering
• Knowledge about Volvo Group's workshops as well as aftermarket knowledge
• Data mining/analysis
