As Expert Chemical Substances Management you are a part of Volvo Cars Health & Safety global team. Our responsibility is to secure Volvo Cars prerequisites to fulfil legal compliance and corporate strategy ambitions within work environment, including company health services and wellness program. You will report to Vice President Health & Safety, Human Resources and be part of the Health & Safety management team.
Main responsibilities
• Global responsibility for coordinating chemical substances risk management regarding Health & Safety and Environment during the products life cycle
• As process owner for the global process Chemical Substances Management secure deliveries that meet corporate specifications
• Establish and lead internal networks (VCC Chemical forum, REACH work group etc.)
• Participate in international networks and monitor the development of the REACH legislation in detail and inform the Volvo Car Group organisation of necessary actions
• Participate in external and internal work groups regarding chemical safety and REACH issues
• Contact with authorities and departements
Required qualifications
• B.Sc. grade within chemistry or a similar education and several years of experience from similar process
• Understanding of HR processes
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Master's degree in chemistry or any other relevant area is meritorious
• Examination in Toxicology will be an asset
• Managerial/process owner positions will be preferable
• Experienced from International assignments is meritorious
• Experience from the Automotive industry is meritorious
• Experience from Chemsoft will be an asset
