hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Nämnden För Svenskt-Amerikanskt Forskarutbyte (f i Stockholm The Fulbright Commission in Sweden is a small but dynamic team that works hard to promote the mission of the Fulbright Program to increase mutual understanding through academic exchange between the United States and Sweden. The Commission is now looking for a new team member, a Program Coordinator/Adviser. This is an excellent opportunity for a person with strong administrative and people skills, as well as a demonstrated commitment to intercultural and academic exchange.
To qualify for this position, the potential candidate needs to have:
• Experience working in an office environment and excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and social media.
• Fluency in English and Swedish for an English-speaking work environment.
• Completion of a university degree in either Sweden or in the U.S. (Master's preferred).
• Substantial knowledge of Swedish and American cultures.
• Knowledge of the education systems of both countries (personal experience is preferred).
In addition to the above, the candidate must be a mature and organized individual, able to take initiative and work closely in both a team environment and independently, and to demonstrate service-mindedness and good judgement.
The Program Coordinator's duties are in two main areas, the administration of exchange programs (approximately 80%) and education advising (approximately 20%). The Coordinator will also be responsible to execute office management tasks and will report to the Executive Director.
EXCHANGE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION DUTIES
• Assist in the development of targeted outreach and advertising campaigns
• Provide support in content creation and management of social media accounts
• Maintain professional communication with respective U.S. and Swedish organizations
• Serve as the contact person for grantees in academic and practical matters
• Assist in the organization of grantee orientations and events
• Respond to inquiries from potential program applicants
• Organize and present orientation sessions for grantees
• Maintain timely communication with grantees and other partners
• Assist in the review of applications and participate in grantee interviews.
EDUCATIONAL ADVISING DUTIES
• Serve as the key contact for inquiries concerning study in the U.S.
• Participate in training sessions required for this position
• Participate in outreach activities to promote academic exchange between Sweden and the U.S.
• Report regularly to the Regional Education Advising Center (European division)
• Assist in the preparation of and participate in educational fairs in Sweden, such as the annual SACO fair and others.
