Facilities, Tooling and Equipment, Body is one of the departments within Manufacturing Engineering Body at Volvo Car Manufacturing Engineering (VCME). We develop and implement quality-assured, flexible and effective production systems and equipment solutions in our Body in White plants. Our task at FT&E is to develop robust equipment solutions with high reliability. We also Manage the installations projects in our plants.
We are looking to hire new colleagues within the competence area Industrial IT, Production supervision and product identification systems.
The role:
The Equipment engineer, Industrial IT, Production supervision and product identification systems is resp to develop and execute our communication systems between our production lines and our over all Manufacturing IT systems. To do this, tools within the areas Software development, database technology, web technology data communication technology and network technology are used.
The challenge for this role is for the next coming years to develop our new production lines for our next generation of cars. The next production lines have to be flexible, low in energy consumption, have high technical availability and maintainability.
Main responsibilities:
Develop technical solutions that can be common for all our plants
Deliver within the competence area the technical content according to plan in projects
Actively strive for continuous improvement and efficiency within the competence area
Qualifications required:
Academic degree within science, preferably EL, DATA or Automation
High automation competence
Knowledge in software development and data communications
Knowledge of Rfid technology
Good communication and cooperation skills
Good English skills in speaking, writing and reading
High integrity
Ability to travel
