PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Ensure accountability and high-level safety performance: coach and support people at all levels of the organization to build a strang health & safety culture.
Minimize impacts on the Environment (environmental footprint of operations & management of historical pollution). Protect Alstom assets and reduce risks of business interruption resulting from fire and natural catastrophes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Country Business Line Management in achieving EHS results
Deploy EHS objectives, initiate and develop programs in the Country / Country Business Line in line with Transport Strategy.
Be the Country / Country Business Line EHS contact for agreement with social partners and local authorities
Coordinate the review and approval of EHS Risk Assessments and Method statements.
Lead the EHS network in the Country Business Line
Support EHS staffing of new projects in his/her Country / Country Business Line
Conduct induction programs for new EHS people in the Country / Country Business Line
Monitor, assist, coach, assess, and develop the EHS communities in the Country / Country Business Line
Align EHS communities on objectives and programs.
Provide technical support and guidance to site teams.
Develop EHS Management system and EHS Standardization
Ensure that in the Country Business Line, EHS Management System in line with Alstom EHS processes, local legal requirements and international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001) are implemented and maintained.
Support standardization and consistency of EHS processes across the Country Business Line, support EHS process integration and implementation.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with relevant country statutory, regulatory, contractual and company requirements.
Monitor changes to country statutory and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance is maintained.
Develop EHS culture in the Country Business Line
Influence EHS performance: facilitate change and EHS continuous improvement.
Develop EHS understanding and competencies of operational employees. Deliver learning and development programs.
Together with the EHS Cluster director or EHS Cluster Business Line Manager, develop and implement an EHS communication plan for Country Business Line.
Lead AZDP implementation and compliance in areas of responsibility
Report, Measure & Review
Be an Alstom approved auditor and contribute to the delivery of the Group, Cluster and Country audit program (ISO & AZDP).
Make regular visits to project sites, depots and offices to assist site management in identification and management of EHS.
Monitor and analyse EHS performance, ensure standard reporting is delivered & accurate, and deliver EHS Management reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
University Engineer or Business Degree
Recognized Health and Safety Qualification to Diploma or Degree level
Environmental Qualification to Diploma or Degree level
At least 5 years' experience in an EHS function in an industrial, construction or offshore environment
Good knowledge and understanding of ISO14001 and ISO 45001 certifications
Good knowledge of EHS regulations applicable within Sweden and Finland
Teamwork and leadership
Communication and influencing skills
Ability to organize, plan and schedule
Good computer skills
Excellent spoken and written English and Swedish
