Job description:
The Enterprise Architect will work in a small group of highly skilled team members that together will act as our stewards for the simplification, reusability and alignment within our Enterprise. The work includes collaboration with Ford to ensure regional and global efficiency of scale where possible. The work will be both to take a responsibility in certain areas affecting all of VCC and to closely work towards one or several business units and their related business and IT projects.
The tasks for the Enterprise Architect could include the following:
Champion, alone or in team, within VCC one or several specific areas, e.g. Information Architecture, Integration, application development, new technology, Infrastructure etc
Drive commonality of process/information/IT systems within VCC
Work with the Enterpriseor practice level of different layers of
(Enterprise Architecture) EA, e.g. Application layer
Solution Architecture (designing and consultancy)
Dezired qualifications:
Ability to transform business requirements into IT solution
specifications
In-depth knowledge in one or several of the following areas:
Business development
Application design (preferably J2EE)
Information modeling
Infrastructure solutions
Ability to identify opportunities to leverage existing IT components to drive commonality
Proven design contribution to large-scale project(s)
Holistic view on the Enterprise
6+ years of progressive responsibilities in IT with at least 4 years in areas related to this position.
Business experience outside IT department is preferably
Prefered qualifications:
Togaf knowledge and experience
Zachman Framework knowledge and experience
Personal Profile:
You need to be a very good teamplayer, as the work involves a high degree of collaboration with colleagues both within the EA team and VCC/Ford.
You need to be able to communicate in front of teams and large groups.
You need to be able to explain complex solutions for non-experts so that they could briefly understand and take actions where needed.
Educations:
University degree in business or IT/Technical
Fluent in English, spoken and written
