About the company
MALÅ GeoScience is an international company operating in the field of Ultra Wideband, time domain, radar (GPR). The products utilize electromagnetic waves for mapping of structures and material properties in matter. MALÅ has the broadest product range and widest reach among the players in our niche and currently have offices in Beijing (China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Charleston (SC, USA), Sydney (Australia), and Malå (Sweden). The head office is located in Sweden.
Working for MALA
Working in a small organization requires broader technical knowledge and interest as well as understanding of the physical principles controlling the applications areas where our systems are used. Add to this more personal responsibility for planning work ahead and that substantial parts of the work will deal with problems not solved before. With this in mind we seek self- driven engineers with broad technical interests and, specifically, a genuine interest for the topics of time-domain UWB radar.
Electronics engineer, digital/analogue designs
The successful candidate will work with design, prototyping and verification of electronics controlling UWB radars. This involves timing circuitry, state machines (FPGA/CPLD), microcontrollers as well as supporting functions. Experience from work with integrated instruments with a high degree of thermal stress will be highly valued.
We expect the candidate to have an M.Sc in electronics (or equivalent) with strong interest in digital and analogue electronic design. Interest and experience from close to machine programming and programmable logic is also expected. Hands-on experience, 3+ years.
