Axis is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Engineering Manager for the AVHS Customer Engineering Team within New Business.
THE CUSTOMER ENGINERING TEAM
The Customer Engineering Team main responsibility is to handle the daily operations and relations of Axis Video Hosting System (AVHS) customers all over the world. The Customer Engineering Team will be part of the AVHS R&D team and will have a close day-to-day collaboration with the development teams and will contribute to the core development projects as well.
AVHS is a cloud based managed service platform, offering video surveillance as a service.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Your responsibility is to run the day-to-day operations and making sure that we have the right competence, processes and tools. Coaching the personnel as well as appraisal, development and salary talks are important parts of the position. You will work close to the business and product managers and will be heavily involved in discussions on product strategies and customer projects. You will be a central part in taking the next step with the organization forming strategies and plans on how we serve our customer in the best possible way. Recruitment will be another central task and you will have the opportunity and responsibility to build and form the team and its work methods to meet future challenges.
You will report to the Engineering Manager of the R&D AVHS team.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You should have a strong interest in people and have the ability to motivate the people you work with, creating an open and innovative work environment. Apart from this we believe you have a strong personal drive, enjoy teamwork and are a natural leader.
We believe you have a master’s degree in engineering and a professional background relevant for the team’s technical area, both as leader and engineer.
You will work in a team in an expansive phase and your ability to introduce new employees and build the team will be crucial for our success. You should like a fast changing environment where we constantly adopts and make conscious decision and prioritizations to meet our customers and the business need.
Experience of leading successful customer organizations and/or projects is considered as a merit.

The department is responsible for both evaluating new business ideas from a technical and a commercial perspective, and product development to offer customers the best products and solutions on the market. The department has market oriented business development resources as well as product development resources.
