We are now looking for a skilled and passionate leader who will lead and develop our Access Control firmware team in Lund!
Who is your future team?
The Access Control SW area has grown, and we have therefore formed this team; Access Control Product SW, with the focus to deliver firmware for the Access Control products and partner integrations. Typical products within the area are smart door controllers, readers and I/O modules. In addition, they are also responsible for developing a configuration application for all Access Control products.
The Access Control Product SW team consists of 15 engineers working in 3 scrum teams. Their way of working is open-minded and offers flexibility as well as strong ownership. The team works with frameworks and techniques such as embedded systems, Linux, C, Rust, databases, React, Typescript, and Microsoft Fluent-UI.
Our New Business Department
New Business is an organization within AXIS with teams mainly in Lund, Sweden and Prague, Czech Republic. We are responsible for evaluating new business ideas and M&A opportunities from a technical and commercial perspective. We develop a number of innovative product lines outside Axis network video, to offer our customers the best products, solutions and services on the market. The New Business organization acts very independent, with a high degree of flexibility, and offers everything from electronic and mechanics hardware to full stack development.
The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity and further build on a flexible and open co-operation with other departments.
What you'll do here as an Engineering Manager
In this role you will be responsible for the firmware delivery team within the Access Control product area. With an engaging and coaching leadership, you will make sure your team has the right conditions and competence to grow as individuals and team. You will have the opportunity and responsibility to build your team and its working methods and strategies to meet the challenges of today and the future. You will also work very closely with other teams and projects to make sure that the team collaborates and delivers in an efficient and positive way. Along with technical experts, you will make sure the team delivers a sustainable and long-term architecture.
Networking and supporting your team in building positive relationships is an important task for you as a leader.
In this role, you will be part of the Access Control Solutions management team, where you will contribute to driving the department forward. The department has the responsibility to deliver products and solutions within both Access Control and Intercom, from Electronics & Mechanics to full stack SW development. Supporting and actively collaborating with your fellow managers and project managers is key for the success of the department.
You will report to the R&D Director of Access Control Solutions at New Business.

We'd love to hear that you have/are:
* A master's degree in engineering and a professional background relevant for the team's competence area.
* Fluent in Swedish and English.
