We currently have the following job opening;
Energy CAE Engineer - CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
As a CAE engineer working with CFD simulations you will evaluate and optimize the vehicle in different driving scenarios and to different attributes such as aerodynamics, thermodynamics, contamination, aeroacoustics, wading/splash and climate. Your task is to develop and optimize systems to fulfil these performance requirements and to communicate with both the attribute and design teams at CEVT. You will work in a cross-functional simulation team looking also at 1 D system and controls analyses such as cooling & climate system sizing, fuel economy, performance and functional CAE. The main tools that are used in the daily work will be Ansa, Fluent, OpenFoam, Harpoon and Ensight.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Build CFD models of subsystems and complete vehicle
• Produce and analyse simulation results
• Constantly strive for increased performance and accuracy of the simulation models
• Cooperate with the team members that are located in our Chinese office in Hangzhou
• Communicate results and design development proposals with attribute engineers and design engineers
• Contribute to develop Energy CAE-team efficiency
Profile and Background
• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Minimum 3 years of experience from similar work tasks within the automotive area
• Good knowledge of Ansa and Fluent and/or OpenFoam
• Broad technical interest
• Ability and interest to interact with people outside your own organization
• Ability and interest to work in cross functional and international teams
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Basic knowledge in Swedish
• Knowledge in Chinese (Mandarin) is a merit
