hela Sverige On-board Telematics (OBT) is a global organization within GTT Vehicle Engineering, established to secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for soft products. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services such as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. The telematics components build a global telematics platform utilized by the brands within the Volvo group.
The products developed at GTT have a complex functionality, which is divided into a set of independent E2E (End-to-End) functions. When developing the E2E functions at OBT, we strive for a balance between commonality and brand distinction. This requires careful communication and coordination with different stakeholders such as Product Planning, Brand representatives and other Engineering departments.
OBT platform and technology department develops and verifies embedded systems that integrate with the vehicle electronic architecture and the telematics back office systems.You will join a tight team of highly skilled engineers, well organized with colleagues in US, France, Brazil and India.
We are looking for an Embedded Software Architect to strengthen our software development group and the architecture team in Göteborg. You will be a key player in the telematics software development group developing the next generation of the connected services software platform.
Core Responsibilities
• Architectural work from concept development to the final product
• Part time, design and implement telematics functions.
• Technical lead
• Team lead/scrum master role when required
• Take on responsibility of different software competence areas and/or modules
• Improvement work
Required Qualifications
• Master?s degree in computer science / computer engineering or equivalent education
• Minimum 8 years working experience from embedded software design in (OO C++)
• Embedded Linux experience
• Documented experience from working as a Software Architect
• Well spoken and written English
Meriting Qualifications
It is meritorious if you have knowledge in cyber security, open source, software product line theory, AutoSar, ISO26262, have practiced Yocto, agile software development and requirement management. Also a background from the IT area is commendable.

As an Embedded Software Architect you are expected to have leadership skills, have good communication skills, enjoy working in teams as well as on your own, take responsibility, be creative and innovative, be generous and share knowledge. You should have a drive to develop as a professional and accept new challenges in our dynamic environment. An open multi-cultural mind-set is required.
