hela Sverige At Axis Communications we have delivered several groundbreaking products and look forward to pioneering many more. We are now looking to strengthen our System Products Recorder team with an Embedded Software developer at our HQ in Lund, Sweden.
Who is your future team?
The System Products Recorder team is responsible for developing software for new Linux Network Recorders and storage functionality in our user-space Linux platform called AXIS OS. It is a diverse team with different skill levels and backgrounds, but we all share the same passion for software development new technology. Together we form an inclusive and acceptant work environment where we share our knowledge help each other succeed in our projects.
What you'll do here as an Embedded Software Developer?
The position is hands-on in a skilled and technically strong team. The team consists of engineers, both junior and senior, working together in an open and supportive environment. In the role as embedded software developer at System Products you take ownership for the project you are working in, but you also feel the joint responsibility that all the projects in our department move forward and meet their targets. We succeed at this working as a team. Development is primarily done in C with some parts in Python, always in an embedded Linux environment for our products.
The responsibilities of the role include:
* Developing software both in Linux kernel space and user space.
* Developing and delivering new features to our products.
* Solving complex problems within recording and storage solutions.
* Optimizing our embedded system performance.
Who are you?
You are an engineer who enjoys solving problems and building functionality through coding. We are looking for someone who finds it easy and stimulating to work with new people spread out in our own organization and through our external partners. You are creative and like to share your ideas and knowledge with the team. We can shift the responsibilities within our team and therefore we welcome both junior and senior applicants for this position.
We'd love to hear that you have/are:
* Experience in C programming, preferably in an embedded environment like Linux.
* Engineering bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics engineering or equivalent.
Even better if you have one or several of the following qualifications:
* Experience with embedded devices.
* An interest in Software design and architecture.
* Experience in C++/Python/Go.
* Experience working with Git, Gerrit, Jira, Yocto.
* Knowledge of test automation and build-systems.
* Feeling comfortable with Agile working methodologies.
* Domain knowledge of storage media.
