Revenue Accounting and Controls Associate
Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager the candidate will be responsible for the entire revenue and order cycle. Tasks include processing orders, reconciliations, cash applications, and revenue reporting in support of the Nordic sales organization.
This person will interact daily with customers, sales and finance personnel to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our revenue and order cycle processes. In addition, this position will be cross trained on the activities of customer service.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the sales organization, the candidate will be tasked with rectifying discrepancies and resolving issues impacting the timely processing of orders. Main responsibilities include:
• Working closely with Finance to ensure proper pricing, maintenance dates, commission codes, terms & conditions, revenue recognition, and the reconciling of orders to billings.
• Ensuring compliance to all established export control policies regarding end use and end users controls.
• Assisting in the billing and collection process in cooperation with Finance.
• Additional duties include customer service responsibilities such as handling inbound customer service inquiries for the Nordic region, passcode requests, software licensing information and the processing of database changes.
Qualifications
• College degree preferred or equivalent professional experience in Accounting or Finance
• 1-2 years relevant work experience, preferably with an international company
• Prior experience working within a sales organization preferred
• Prior order management experience (e.g. terms and conditions reviews, pricing standards, revenue recognition, shipping and bill to information) or a strong motivation, and relevant proven background, to quickly learn the revenue and order cycle
• Credit and collections experience is a plus
• Very good systems skills including use of database programs and reporting tools
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required, along with a good working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Swedish and English required.
This position is a full time role based in our Kista, Sweden office.
