Developing and constructing a wind farm is a complex process, managed by a multidisciplinary team and involving multiple components. Coordinating these resources effectively is crucial to ensure each project is delivered within budget, timeline, quality and safety parameters. The Document Controller works alongside Project and Package Managers, Construction Leads and O&M Package Managers, managing documentation across construction and O&M sites, including early-stage and procurement activities.
Your tasks and responsibilities as a Document Controller
We offer an exciting and varied position within Vattenfall's Wind business - a rapidly growing field with excellent career opportunities. The role sits in the Onshore Project Delivery team and includes:
Supporting wind farms in development, construction and operation across all locations
Managing processes and documents in line with BA Wind, IEC 61335-1 and ISO9001
Managing wind farm documentation within SharePoint DMS
Facilitating completion of the Hand-Over-TakeOver tool in SharePoint
Reporting progress using Power BI or similar systems
Populating SAP DMS with required documentation
Providing documentation support for all markets
Acting as SPOC (single point of contact) for documentation
Quality checking, receiving, distributing and tracking documentation
Maintaining version control, metadata and system users in DMS
Following document control procedures and managing the Master Document Register
Managing workflows between Vattenfall and contractors for document reviews and approvals
Managing internal and external permissions in SharePoint or similar systems
Evaluating document quality, performance and compliance
Facilitating Document Controller meetings
Training internal and external team members in SharePoint use
Ensuring timely turnaround of documentation
Preparing documentation and reports for handover to O&M or investors

Qualifications - Your profile as a Document Controller
2-3 years' experience in a similar role
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience in document management systems, preferably SharePoint or similar
Experience managing technical documentation in engineering
Proficient in SharePoint, SAP DMS, MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
Strong organisational and coordination skills
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads and shifting priorities
Experience working cross-culturally and across global locations
Able to work autonomously while gathering input from engineers and project managers
Detail-oriented and methodical
Strong team player with influence across multicultural teams
Effective communicator and collaborator
Results-oriented and concise
Proactive approach to Health, Safety and Environment
Willingness to take on ad hoc tasks and support innovation
Primarily office-based, with some travel encouraged to sites or offices to support projects
