Volvo Group Telematics enables & accelerate customer-oriented off-board telematics service development & delivery. Volvo Group Telematics supports the Volvo Group whilst the Wireless Car brand is used to support external customers in the Automotive Car OEM segment such as BMW and Audi.
Volvo Group Telematics is looking for a business oriented Director to lead a new global function of ~20 persons. As a Director of Strategy and Portfolio Management you will be a member of the Volvo Group Telematics Management Team and report to the Vice President of Volvo Group Telematics. .
Main responsibilities
• Develop and drive Volvo Group Telematics business strategy
• Business development towards customers within Volvo Group
• Portfolio management of customer solutions and services
• Portfolio management of product framework (Caracas/GTP)
• Responsible for Volvo Group Telematics development plan of product framework, customer solutions and service innovation projects including P&Ls
• Business consulting towards new & existing customers
• Drive the pioneering agenda (service innovation)
• Responsible for KPI?s and other performance targets in own area
• Personnel responsibility (recruitments, salary setting, competence development, PBP)
• Member of Steering Committees for key projects within Volvo Group Telematics and Volvo Group soft product committees
• Implementation strategic directions in own area as set in Volvo Group Telematics Management Team, e.g.:
• Processes and working methods
• Structural changes and sourcing decisions
• Implementation of competence development plans
General profile
The Director of Strategy and Portfolio Management needs to have the ability to work under demanding and changing conditions. As person you are innovative with a strong customer focus and a business oriented attitude. You enjoy teamwork, contribute with team spirit and you like taking responsibility.
This position requires;
• A university degree
• Experience in product, partner and portfolio management
• Leadership competence and experience and ability to motivate others
• Knowledge in the area of telematics, transport industry and end-customer processes
• Ability to drive a holistic and business perspective, focused on execution to reach set targets
• A global and strategic mindset and previous experience working in an international environment
• Good communication and networking skills
• Ability to establish and maintain good relations with your customers and partners
• Fully fluent in English
