hela Sverige Vattenfall is looking for the right person to help us in our strive for a fossil free living within one generation by filling the position as Director Mergers & Acquisitions. As Director you will i) lead a team of M&A professionals and report to the Vice President of Merger & Acquisitions; ii) will be the M&A point of contact to the Nordics investor and financial advisor community; and iii) will have and develop a strong network towards internal and external in Stockholm including key decisionmakers within Vattenfall. In this role you will be a member of the M&A Management Team and report to VP of Mergers & Acquisitions.

You will have a pivotal role in the further growth of the wind strategy of Vattenfall and will lead large off- and onshore wind transactions to find equity and debt. You will lead a committed and motivated team. Our airy open-plan office is located in a new and modern building on Evenemangsgatan in Solna, across the street from Mall of Scandinavia.
As Director of M&A you will have the following key responsibilities:
Coordinate the M&A strategy and planning process and its follow up
Supply Vattenfall decision making bodies with deep business insights, actionable strategic direction and thought leadership.
Lead transactions from idea stage to final closing in all Vattenfall's business areas
Manage teams responsible for around 10-20 transactions simultaneously
Coordinate small and large transactions with buy-in and resources required from business areas and relevant staff functions
Lead large transactions teams of up to 50 persons including legal, financial, technical and commercial advisors
Present transaction summaries and updates to decision making bodies within Vattenfall and represent Vattenfall to banks and the investor community
Qualifications and personal characteristics for a Director at M&A
We are looking for a Director of M&A who has a relevant University degree (or equal), with a minimum of seven years relevant work experience in a M&A position within a competitive and dynamic environment. You can demonstrate an in-depth operational and valuation financial modelling experience. You have experience as a leader in a large international organization and you have a documented experience in managing teams in changing and challenging environments. Your command of English is strong, both verbally and written.

Pro-active and transparent way of working with an high level of integrity
Strong general management skills with the courage to speak up
Ability to take intellectual leadership with strong emphasis on analytics
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive them towards results
Strong credibility built through both business insight and leadership
Strong commercial background and negotiation skills
Broad corporate finance background with experience in valuation, financial analysis and structuring or relevant corporate law/legal transaction experience
Understanding of legal contracts
Performance and results oriented
