We offer an exciting opportunity for you to participate in the development of Volvo Penta in some of the most enticing markets in the world.
Job description
Region EM&APAC has ambitious growth targets in a fast paced environment and now you have an opportunity to join and contribute to our development. As the Director Marine Business Segment you will be responsible for developing the business for Marine Power Systems through our own Market Units and Area Sales Managers. You will be managing a team of business development managers and sales application engineers based in Sweden. Marketing, Key Account Management and Pricing/Profitability will also be your responsibilities. You will also be the marine business segments representative towards related functions within corporate Volvo Penta. The position is based in Gothenburg but demands frequent travelling.
Main responsibilities
• Develop and implement the Marine Segment strategy
• Set targets, prioritize activities and secure the segments strategic roadmaps
• Prospect new high potential or strategically important customers
• Business follow up and report to team and management
• Support the sales organization with competitor and market intelligence
• Coordinate larger sales projects in key markets and customers
• Coordinate and support sales engineering tasks

Competence profile

You have proven leadership experience, preferably in an international environment as well as genuine interest in working with and coach people from different cultures.
Qualifications
• Experience of the Marine industry
• Technical knowledge and interest in marine engines and marine applications
• University Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network effectively with external stakeholders
• Fully proficient in English, verbal and writing
• Strategic mind and skill set combined with business acumen
• Strong general computer skills and excellent skills in Microsoft Office
