Innovative Purchasing is a function within Volvo Group Purchasing. Our responsibilities can be categorized as follows:
1.Scouting innovation and new technologies.
2.Being the purchasing interface within early phase project management.
3.We work with new organizational developments (Greenhouse).
4.Researching industry business intelligence.

Volvo Group Purchasing Innovative Purchasing is now seeking an experienced leader to establish this newly formed group for scouting innovation and new technologies. The group's mission is to go beyond finding innovative ideas. It is to scout for the best solutions, vent and exploit them into our organization and product offerings. These innovations will contribute to The Volvo Group Mission, Vision, Aspirations and the continued success of our business.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your main focus within this role is to establish a group that network, scout, and fully analyze innovations and new technologies in The Volvo Group. An important assignment within the role is to develop effective teams were people take pride in being accountable for their deliverables with trust and integrity.

Your main focus will be to:
• Establish a new team for scouting innovation and new technologies.
• Define areas for scouting (disruptive, light weighting, fuel efficiency, features, etc.).
• Define and implement the wanted position and processes for scouting and absorbing into the Volvo Group.

Required knowledge/experience

In this position you will be part of the Innovative Purchasing management team and report to the head of Innovative Purchasing. To be successful in your new role we want you to have the following knowledge/experience:
• Passion for developing people, operations and products. Be an experienced inspirational leader.
• Eager to learn and work with your own development. Be the best and strive to be humbly perfect.
• Masters or bachelor university degree in a scope related field with experience and knowledge of trucks. Basically, you have been to school, you have had experience in this field and know a thing or two about our truck business.
• Great communication skills in English, so everyone can understand what you are trying to say.
• Ability to build long term trusting relationships. Have a positive personality. People, including your manager, tend to like and want to work with personable people.
