The Global Headquarters for Volvo Financial Services is seeking a Director of Funding & Capital Markets to provide leadership and development of global funding and capital markets activities within the Volvo Financial Services Global Funding & Capital Markets Team. VFS' Global Funding & Capital Markets Team is one of the most prolific syndicators of equipment finance in the world. We manage active programs in more than 17 countries and aspire to continue growing in our active markets and opening programs in new markets each year.
What you will do

As a Director of Funding & Capital Markets, you will be responsible for steering the development and execution of VFS funding activities in all VFS markets by partnering with local VFS teams and Volvo Group Treasury to ensure liquidity and drive profitability in all VFS markets. In addition, this role will guide the development and execution of capital markets strategy with specific focus on Eastern & Central Eastern Europe as part of the Global Capital Markets function.
Together with your colleagues at VFS and in the broad cross-functional network at the Volvo Group, your starting point will be to take responsibilities in the following areas:
* Steer funding development activities in conjunction with Volvo Group Treasury to ensure both short team and long-term VFS liquidity needs are met while optimizing global funding costs
* Mentor global HQ, region HQ, and local market teams on topics related to funding and liquidity management
* Direct syndication activity by developing appropriate investors and negotiating and closing transactions in close coordination with VFS functional resources including finance, legal, tax, accounting, and operations
* Drive strategic integration of funding and syndication activities within each market to support Volvo Group sales and deliver VFS commercial and financial success.
* Develop long-term, strategic relationships with syndicate partners including banks, independent finance companies and other appropriate institutions.
* Travels internationally (30% to 50%)

Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include:
* BS/BA in Finance/Accounting or related field is required. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
* 10+ years progressive experience in financial services industry
* 7+ years of experience in equipment leasing and/or treasury management
* Proven experience in corporate treasury management and funding
* Multi-national corporate work experience strongly preferred
* Demonstrated ability in financial statement and risk analysis preferred
* Self-starter with relationship management experience and sales/deal negotiation experience preferred.
* Proven leadership competency demonstrated by successful managerial experience
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with exposure to various business settings
