Job description
As Director Fuel Cell Propulsion Testing you will be accountable for the Verification & Validation activities in the development of Fuel cell propulsion systems. This means to execute Fuel Cell propulsion system testing according to the V&V plan which includes everything from Single cell testing, to Fuel cell system testing, and Fuel cell propulsion testing in test benches and in vehicles. Your team is responsible to prepare test objects - components, systems and vehicles - for early phase concept assessment as well as for full scale verification and validation for industrialization.
The responsibility includes to develop the short & long-term Fuel cell testing roadmap together with Volvo internal stakeholders and our partner cellcentric, to ensure test capabilities on different system levels and to drive method development and continuous improvements.
You will lead a team of highly skilled and motivated senior engineers who work in close collaboration with the Fuel Cell system team and the SW solution team, to ensure an integrated virtual and physical development and verification. The team is also working very close to other business areas in order to leverage synergies across the Volvo Group.
Who are you?
You are a natural leader with a drive to develop new technology. You have a good understanding of customers usage of our products and have extensive experience from product development in the automotive industry, in the field of Powertrain testing and preferably Fuel cell development and testing. Experience from powertrain development for commercial vehicles is considered a merit.
You are known for building strong engaged teams with your collaborative and results oriented approach and you drive engagement from everyone around you. You are confident in driving complex topics inside as well as outside your own organization. You possess very good communication skills, and are comfortable in making difficult decisions in complex matters.
