hela Sverige The Corporate Audit function in the Volvo Group consists of approximately 40 internal auditors located at Volvo sites around the world.
Corporate Audit is accountable to the CEO, Executive Vice President Group Legal & Compliance and the Audit Committee of the Volvo Group and provides independent assessment of systems managing risk and evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control activities within the Volvo Group.
To further improve the quality and the value-add of assurance activities, the Corporate Audit function has launched various development initiatives aimed at enhancing its ways of working and transforming the function into a world class internal audit function.
We are now looking for the Director Corporate Audit - Business Area Responsible
This is a leadership position with functional global responsibility (no line responsibility), combined with an Audit Project Manager role, reporting to the Senior Vice President Head of Corporate Audit (located in Gothenburg).
Main Responsibilities
To support the Head of Corporate Audit in monitoring the business development and risk management activities in the Volvo Group Business Areas: Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Financial Services, Volvo Buses, Volvo Penta, and Governmental Sales.*Be a key member of the Corporate Audit leadership team; engage in the overall development of the Corporate Audit function; be a change agent, support the ongoing transformation of the function and drive continuous improvements and development of the ways of working within the area of responsibility towards the Corporate Audit operative vision
• Primary stakeholder/point of contact towards the Business Areas: Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Financial Services, Volvo Buses, Volvo Penta, and Governmental Sales. Responsible for interactions with top management and key stakeholders within the Business Areas on a continuous basis
• Identify audit needs/areas, prioritize and propose an audit plan for the Business Areas in line with the audit need identification process
• Accountable for audit projects within the Business Areas
• Monitor business perspective and needs in audits within the Business Areas
• Audit Project Manager or subject matter expert in complex audit assignments
• Play a key role in understanding business issues, strategy, challenges etc.
• Interact with the global Corporate Audit network on different matters related to the Business Areas operations
• Be a team player and jointly take a responsibility for the development of the function together with other Corporate Audit leaders
• Prepare reporting for the Head of Corporate Audit, the Disclosure and Audit Committees, as well as external auditors and senior management, as required
• Monitor the Audit Plan including KPI/PI follow-up
• Perform ad-hoc analyses

Position Requirements
• University degree in relevant area or equivalent plus relevant professional designations
• Extensive successful experience in the field of management consulting, internal audit, risk management and/or finance/business control
• Business and process oriented person with a clear holistic view, strong analytical skills and lateral thinking
• Learning agility and capacity to learn on the fly
• Strong leadership experience
• Strong stakeholder management and strategic networking skills
• Strong proven audit and/or consulting project management skills and experience
• High integrity, professional judgement, critical thinking and a team player with an ability to build and maintain good working relationships with management working within different parts and levels of the organization as well as with the Corporate Audit network
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to prioritize tasks (must be efficient, flexible and able to adapt to change)
• Pro-active approach, ability to form new ways of working and with a desire of extended learning
• Ability to work in a global multicultural team
• Be curious, open-minded, innovative, share knowledge
• Strongly motivated and self-directed
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Willing and prepared for occasional international travelling, as required
