www.fingerprints.com Fingerprints seeks one or more Digital ASIC Design Engineers to help us in developing future fingerprint systems for smartphones and other mobile devices. The sensor design is a mixed-mode design in a standard CMOS process. Fingerprints is a global leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the entire system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packaging, to the algorithms and software for fingerprint including the recognition, and applications on the target devices.
The Role
The position of Digital ASIC Design Engineer includes working in close cooperation with colleagues developing future sensor systems to meet future demands for fingerprint systems. In FPC you will be able to work with projects from concept to proven silicon. You will be involved in the system design, RTL implementation and system level verification.
We are seeking for both junior and senior candidates for the positions.
You will have the opportunity to affect the outcome of the final product by your own ideas. You are enthusiastic and driven, with a commitment to see your ideas through to successful implementation as a part of a collaborative cross-functional team.
The work location will be preferred in Gothenburg or Linköping as agreed between Fingerprints and the candidate.
International travel to Fingerprints suppliers, partners, and customers may occur.
Your Background
This role requires a Master of Science in Engineering, with specialization in electronics, physics, computer science or equivalent. You can be newly graduated as well as if you have several years of occupational experience of similar fields to apply for this position.
You can communicate fluently in English, written and spoken, and have the possibility to travel if necessary.
Success in this role requires:
• Knowledge in digital ASIC design
• Knowledge in systems design of digital systems
Preference will be given to those with experience in the following areas. Please highlight in your application the areas in which you have experience/knowledge in your application:
• VHDL, Verilog and System Verilog
• Design verification
• Mixed-signal verification
• ASIC Technology knowledge
• Function modelling e.g. Matlab, C or equivalent
• Backend
• Design for test
• Understanding of Analog function
• Patent filing
• Design lead, team leader
You also have essential qualities such as being ambitious, motivated and flexible. You need to be comfortable working in a growing company, where you will be expected to assume considerable personal responsibility for your own activities and the company's success. This also requires you to be a team player who contributes to an open and positive atmosphere in the workplace.
