Manufacturing Engineering Stamping & Body Components (ME S&BC) is a global function with responsibility to launch new car programs and processes in Volvo Cars' plants.
Stamping die process engineering is a part of Volvo Cars Manufacturing Engineering, Stamping & Body Components. Our mission is to develop and implement sheet metal stamping processes for new car models within Volvo Cars. The operative location for this role will be in Olofström with occasionally traveling to Gothenburg and Die Suppliers around the world.

What you'll do
As a Stamping Die Process Engineer for Press hardening and/or Cold forming you will be deeply involved in the design and development of the car and its body components from an early stage until start of production in our car plants. The work is conducted in cross functional teams consisting of product design, production engineering and simulation.
In early project phases you will lead and drive the feasibility work regarding the components in cooperation with product design in Gothenburg. Alongside with this you will develop the production process for the component and during the production process development, be the interface against the die suppliers around the world.
Do you fit the profile?
* B.Sc within mechanical engineering, M.Sc will be meritorious
* Good knowledge in Catia V5
* Experience in Sheet metal forming and/or Press hardening Blank/Press/Laser cut
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
Meritorious Requirements that can be an asset in this role:
* Experience within Stamping die design
* Production engineering and Stamping die manufacturing
* Experiences from stamping die engineering and/or project management
