hela Sverige Modis Life Science is looking for a DSS ( Device Support Specialist) on behalf of our client Novoccure. Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure 's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer and other types of solid cancers.
Job summary: We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and people-oriented professional for a full-time position as a DSS (Device Support Specialist) for Sweden in the Gothenburg region (field based). The Technician supports commercial and clinical trial patients utilizing the Medical Device for treating cancer diseases.
Responsibilities:
• Perform patient 's and caregivers ' training on the TTF medical devices.
• Reinforce and adjust patient training on an at least monthly basis as applicable.
• Conduct regular patient visits to check technical status of equipment and replace components as necessary.
• Troubleshoot problems through a well-defined procedure.
• Assist HCP in patient 's treatment initiation according to the level of delegation by the prescribing physician.
• Work closely with European Clinical Team, Technical Support and Commercial Operations, as well as Global Operations Center.
• Travel to patient homes and to physician offices (up to 80% travel)
• Keep a high level of training and knowledge updated through the deep understanding of position-related SOPs.
o All approved travel expenses will be reimbursed.
o Amount of travel required is dependent on patient needs and location but could be as much as several hours per day.
• Ensure activities comply with the applicable Novocure Quality System requirements.
Qualifications:
• MUST have fluency in Swedish and English
• Experience with direct patient interaction preferred (medical technician, medical assistant, nurse, nurse assistant, physical or occupational therapist or assistant, assisted living care provider)
• Positive, energetic, service-oriented and empathic disposition
• Basic technical skills - manipulating computer files, following test and troubleshooting procedures
• Able to operate and solve problems independently with minimal supervision
• Good understanding of IT (MS office)
Knowledge/Skills:
• Ability to lift up to 22 kg
• Swedish Driver 's license (B)
