SKF Machine Health Development and Production centre Lulea provides a range of industry leading software, basic condition monitoring, online systems, mobile systems, wireless systems and more, which are designed specifically for helping customers maintain the optimum performance for their plant's machinery. SKF's extensive knowledge of rotating equipment is captured in Machine Health's products, enabling SKF to accurately predict bearing failure in our customer's equipment.
Your main responsibility as Development Manager for Machine Health DPC Lulea will be to develop and sustain products and solutions to specification, budget, quality and schedule as defined by the Product and Technology organization. Managing all needed activities for the development of new products.
Job responsibilities:
• To plan, control and execute product development and product engineering activities, according to the SKF defined processes and SKF policies.
• To take an active role in innovation & creativity in line with overall strategy.
• To consider IP protection in all activities.
• Work with Product Managers to create the product specification, development budget and development schedule.
• Deliver product development projects to specification, budget, quality and schedule.
• Give engineering support to products through their lifecycle.
• To support cost reduction activities and initiatives to increase efficiency.
• To be responsible for staff hiring, training and development, including performance reviews and Individual Development plans for all direct reports.
• Create relationships with Product and Technology and Manufacturing.
• To run operations according to the SKF Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Policies and work according to the SKF Quality Management System.
Job Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge and experience of product development processes.
• Project management experience.
• Proven experience and success in managing people.
Personal profile:
• Excellent command of English and Swedish, spoken and written.
• Willing and able to travel occasionally.
• Strong personal drive and commitment.
• A decisive, result oriented and efficient approach.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Good skills in creating good relationships.
