Dina arbetsuppgifter
Your Role - You will be a key contributor to the development of advanced crystal growth processes for the manufacturing of Silicon Carbide wafers. As a member of the R&D team, you will become an expert in growth and characterization of wide bandgap semiconductors. You will both understand the fundamentals and deliver solutions into our production of SiC wafers.
In this role you will work closely with production and:
• carry out development projects aimed at enhancing the yield, cost-structure and throughput of the crystal growth process,
• design, setup, conduct and analyze development crystal growth runs, - carry out material characterization and process simulations,
• perform practical work which can include loading furnaces, machining parts and measurements,
• analyze scientific literature and experimental data; present solutions and project results,
• transfer processes to production and occasionally interact with customers.
Din profil
Your profile - The position requires a MSc or PhD in Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, Ceramic Engineering or related field. We are looking for a person with a few to several years of experience in development of solid state inorganic materials or semiconductors.
As a candidate, you preferably have:
• Expertise in development, processing and characterization of semiconductor materials,
• Experience in either crystal growth, thin film deposition or coating,
• Scientific publications or patents are a merit,
• Experience of either thermal or flow (CFD) simulation is a plus,
• Mechanical aptitude / troubleshooting ability.
We are looking for candidates who often ask "why?", and who do not settle with an approximate answer. As a person, we expect you to be innovative and to have a curious mind. You have the ability to drive projects and to engage in both small and large problems. You are goal-oriented and have an inclination to distinguish essential details which make a substantial difference for the end-result. You appreciate to work with a systematic approach but have the ability to adapt to changing priorities when required. You feel comfortable working both individually and in team. An open communication is important to you, and you find it natural to discuss unexpected problems with your colleagues. It 's important that you appreciate hands-on work, as a part of your role will be practical. You are fluent in English and willing to rapidly learn Swedish if needed
