This is an opportunity to join the Technical Product Management (TPM) team at Oatly, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The TPM team takes care of our existing product portfolio and drives continuous improvement of our oat base process, products and packaging. You will have a key role in Oatly's journey ahead as Development Engineer to take the ownership of product standards, specifications, improvements and maintenance of existing product assortment. Your focus will be on the final products characteristic and applications, to help us in our mission to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet's resources.

To succeed in the role, we believe you have a Master of Science in Food Engineering with a special emphasis in product improvements. If you have the drive, curiosity and a warm personality, here is your chance.

Here's what you would do,

• Lead and participate in product improvement and product maintenance projects such as changes of critical product and process parameters or changes and replacement of standard ingredients within existing product assortment

• Collaborate with existing and new suppliers regarding replacing ingredients

• Plan, execute and follow up lab and pilot scale experiments as well as perform factory trials internally and with external partners

• Support Sustainable Operations driven projects by having the focus on the product quality at product moves and start-up of new lines and factories

• Support Commercial driven projects related to launches of existing products in new markets

• Participate in the digitalization of our product data management and product development process including the development and optimization of our PLM-system.

• Participate in cross-functional work with product specifications, standards as well as product process improvements by working in close cooperation with colleagues in other departments.

• Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analyses, and problem-solving contributing with product and process know-how

Are you the oatsome person we are looking for?

To thrive and be happy in this role, we believe that you have the following qualifications and experiences:

• Master of Science within Food Engineering or Food Technology

• At least five years' experience from product development, product improvements and product maintenance within the food industry

• Experience from working with product specifications

• Industry experience of food processing

• Working knowledge from project management

• Troubleshooting and handling deviations

• Experience from working with PLM - and Quality Management Systems

• Fluent in English (oral and written)
