Description
Carton Bottle Platform is responsible for developing and engineering a product portfolio that offers a competitive alternative to plastic bottles in the Liquid Dairy Product and Juice, Nectar & Still Drinks categories for both chilled and ambient distribution, including the packaging systems Tetra Evero Aseptic®, Tetra Rex® and Tetra Top®.
Packaging & Distribution Solutions within Carton Bottle develops and industrializes attractive and high performing packages and distribution solutions produced at a competitive cost, and works on improving existing systems to increase package performance and/or decrease cost.
In this dynamic and challenging role as Development Engineer you will be a part of the development of Openings and Caps and build relations with external suppliers. You will also have an important role in our development projects.
We are now looking for a member to join our team during December 2013 till March 2015, as a replacement due to a maternity leave.
The position is based in Lund, Sweden and requires travelling of up to 15 %.
Main responsibilities
• Develop and drive technical requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and industrialize innovative solutions based on technical specifications within the area of pre-fabricated openings and caps.
• Build and share a high level of knowledge in pre-fabricated caps and openings characteristics and functionality throughout the entire value chain, from manufacturing to consumer use.
• Build and share a high level of knowledge in manufacturing processes of pre-fabricated caps and openings, including some knowledge in plastic material.
• Build and maintain relations with external suppliers in the area of pre-fabricated caps and openings such as injection moulding tools, assembly equipment and vision systems.
• In projects drive and take responsibility for activities related to Package & Distribution Solution.
Qualifications
To be successful you need to have the combination of an innovative, analytical and practical mind together with an open and positive attitude. You drive for result and are a good team player who can manage long-term relations in a changing environment.
You have the ability to work independently and have a genuine interest in staying on top of new innovations and technology development and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.
We believe you have a university degree in Engineering combined with 3-5 years work experience in packaging development. Experience from the pre-fabricated caps and openings industry or equivalent. and experience from working in projects is an advantage.
Your English is fluent both written and spoken and you find it easy to work in a multicultural environment.
