Engine development and especially NMEO is in an exciting stage to turn our society towards a more sustainable future with cleaner engines, alternative fuels and lower CO2 emissions.
NMEO is responsible for optimizing emissions, fuel consumption, and performance as well as certification and documentation of our gaseous fuel and ED95 engines.
Your role
You will work in the group NMEO - Engine Optimization Alternative Fuels. The group's mission is to implement a robust overall optimization of the engine, exhaust gas treatment and control system to meet legal and project requirements for the lowest fuel consumption, best response and highest uptime. The assignment applies both to future and existing legal requirements, which means that we either develop new concepts or refine existing technology solutions. We have overall responsibility for the performance and emissions of gas engines from the time the project starts until the start of production.
Your work will consist of calibration of engine performance in close collaboration with developers of subsystems such as gas exchange, combustion systems, exhaust gas treatment and control system strategy.
A big part of the work is performed in engine testbeds or in vehicles with subsequent analysis and reporting. Testing trips for high altitude, hot and cold climate is also part of our work.
We continuously improve and develop our test methods and associating tools.
Your profile
We are looking for a person who has a bachelor or master degree within relevant engineering area or who has acquired corresponding knowledge during your working life and have solid knowledge in automotive engines, preferably with a background in engine optimization and engine control systems.
As a person, you enjoy having fun at work, you are driven, has an analytical ability and is curious of practical problem solving.
You should be able to work both in group and independently. Fluent knowledge in English both reading and writing is necessary.
Driver license C, CE and driving experience is meritorious.
