Do you have experience in mechanical engineering and a deep understanding of acoustic principles? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Consultant for Engine Structure, Noise Shields.
The Engine Structure team is responsible for the structural components of heavy-duty engines globally. The portfolio includes critical components like cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, exhaust and inlet manifolds, coolant duct covers, flywheel housings, valve covers, timing gear plates, hot and cold sealings, heat shields, noise shields, and brackets. The team work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and global colleagues to develop high-quality components used in more than 190 markets worldwide.
Responsibilities
As a Consultant for Engine Structure and Noise Shields, you will play a key role in leading the technical development of noise shields. The team is expanding its focus on noise shields, so we 're looking for someone who can contribute expertise in noise and acoustics, along with experience in working with noise insulation materials and processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing input to roadmaps and driving development work from concept to implementation.
* Taking ownership of component development activities within a global, cross-functional team.
* Collaborating with stakeholders from various business areas.
* Ensuring the maintenance and improvement of our components.
* Contributing to the overall delivery of our projects.
About you
* A B.Sc. degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* Proficiency in Creo for CAD design.
* Acoustic knowledge or relevant experience in noise-related fields.
* 5 years of experience in designing casted components in metal or plastic.
* Used to work cross functionally with, other stakeholders as a component responsible.
* Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
We will also put value in
* Previous development experience within Automotive.
* Experience working on noise shields or similar components.
* CAD experience, preferably with Creo.
About the position
The assignment is a consultant position with employment at Adecco. The start will take place as soon as possible after agreement and initially continue until October 2024.
