As Design Engineer/ Component Responsible within the group EDS Components & CAE, you will be responsible for the development of components needed for the complete harness installation in vehicle over time. You will also be responsible for the communication towards our Development Supplier and follow up their status in the programs and make sure that all deliveries are according to plan. This includes participation in FMEA, Design reviews and other necessary meetings. There is a high focus on meeting requirements while making sure that the component is manufacturable and cost effective. You will work within an extensive network of colleagues from your own group as well as from other departments, suppliers and internal customers, and together find creative system solutions and components with large effect on customer experience. Job profile * Develop components, create 3D models and drawings in Catia V5 * Support package meetings * Participate in FMEAs, Design Rewiews. * Administrate 3D/2D data in Team Center * Communicate with suppliers and internal customers
Skills & Required Experience:
Skills Required:
Engineering of mechanical components for use in electrical distribution systems, using CATIA V5.
Skills Preferred:
Competence in Quality Assurance (FMA / FMEA etc), innovative, problem solver, excellent communication skills in Swedish & English. Experience in design work of sheet metal & rubber components (meritious). Knowledge of VCCs product development process (GPDS) and related IT systems.
Experience Required:
5-10 years of relevant experience.
Education Required:
BSc in mechanical engineering or equivalent competence obtained by experience.
