We currently have the following job opening;
Design Engineer Steering System
The CEVT Chassis & Safety Electronics unit focus on the development of steering system, wheel suspension, brakes and safety electronics for the future cars of the Geely Group.
As a Design Engineer, within the module team Steering Systems, you are working with the development of components and systems for steering gear, steering column, ESCL, floor seal and heatshield. You will work close together with the System Engineers and System Managers for the components.
Responsibilities and tasks
• CAD design in Catia V5.
• Release models and drawings in Team Center.
• Represent your components on CEVT package meetings.
• Supplier meetings together with system engineers.
• Manufacturing discussions with CEVT Manufacturing Engineering.
• Change Management administration in CEVT Share Point system.
• Support System Engineers and System Managers with technical analyses of components, preparations for testing and validation at suppliers and at CEVT, presentations at different meeting forums etc.
Profile and Background
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Relevant experience from development of components within the automotive area.
• Documented skills in Catia V5, Team Center and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and work in cross functional teams.
• Experience of working with Asians is an advantage.
• Fluent in English (Speaking and Writing).
• Driver's License category B.
