Our department
The Data Center Department is now looking for an Operations Engineer within an international DC Hosting Team. We are looking for open-minded person who will manage the Linux systems hosted in our Data Centers located in our different locations.
Your responsibilities
As an Operations Engineer you will manage internal tools and applications, develop the functionality and setup new systems. You will be responsible of troubleshooting problems and manage incidents according to agreed processes. You will develop automation scripts, processes and daily routines. Managing and updating the internal handbooks and procedures will be a part of your job. Also you will care for quality topics especially the documentation, CMDB, and SLA costs.
Your qualifications as Operations Engineer
We believe that you are a person with good communication skills and self-organization. You are driven by running daily tasks related to Linux systems and feeI familiar with scripting and job automation. You are open for changes and don't hesitate to propose them to contribute to the team. You are familiar with DevOps and ITIL processes, and see the value in writing documentation as well as diving into troubleshooting. You have good knowledge in RedHat Linux systems on deep operational level and ability to look for performance and/or stability problems. Further you have:
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken. Swedish, German, Polish or Dutch are beneficial
• Willingness to work outside specific working hours if needed (over hours, on-call, late shifts)
• Experience in automation of processes, knowledge about tools and scripting languages
• Basic knowledge about organization of Data Center infrastructure (Server, Storage, Network) and DC facility such as cooling, racks etc.
• Bachelor or University degree
Beneficial requirements
• Basic knowledge about virtualization and containerization tools
• Basic knowledge about Cloud Services
• Basic experience in Project or Service Management
• Meritorious certificates:
o redhat certificate
o itil foundation certificate
o vmware or microsoft certificates could be an advantage
Location: Sweden (Solna) or Poland (Gliwice/Katowice).
