The position
Working as a Database Developer at NENT, you will be responsible for our financial data hub that is combining data from our financial system Dynamics 365 with data from other sources, enabling our reporting team to create powerful reports in IBM's Planning Analytics.
As part of the NENT core IT Team, you will join a team of 19 talented colleagues working with IT systems, tools and equipment our business need to perform their daily work. You will have the ownership for the tool used by our controllers (currently an Excel add-in built in Visual basic) to upload budget data to the data hub. Also, you will be responsible for building integrations between various systems.
The challenge ahead
We are currently working with enhancing the reporting structure for NENT and trying to reduce the number of legal entities in the group. You will use your expertise to create and maintain solutions that meets the requirements of today as well as understand how they can be used to cater for tomorrow in an ever-changing world.
Some of your daily challenges will include:
• Taking a leading position in ensuring the development of the financial data hub.
• Developing, implementing and maintaining technologies and integrations between systems and tools used by the business.
• Supporting the finance team and system specialists when it comes to improvements.
• Identifying and resolving issues.
• Documenting and communicating technical solutions to relevant stakeholders.
What we are looking for
To be our new colleague, we believe that you have several years' experience working as a Database Developer or similar. We believe that you have built several integrations between systems using API calls and that you are eager to learn new technologies.
Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:
• Excellent knowledge in Microsoft SQL.
• Familiar with Python, C# and Visual basic.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills in English (Swedish is a bonus).
