1. Mission
The Data Specialist mission is to drive, collect, execute and develop best practice reports/solutions and maintain tools in Data management with cross-functional connections within global purchasing organization. He / She will have to secure the purchasing data quality and to solve any related problems.
2. Responsibilities
• Develop and implement reports, procedures and routines securing data quality and usage of the Data Warehouse solution.
• Proactively propose reports or tools adaptation to match with the current and future business needs to maximize Purchasing benefits.
• Specify, develop, maintain, communicate and promote implementation of standardized end user reports supporting purchasing decision making
• Reduce duplication of data and data sources
• Specify functional demands and improvement needs with Process & IT.
• Coordinate application enhancements together with Volvo IT and end users.
• Develop self-service information access
• Ensure the creation and the flexibility of specific business tools
• Spread the right knowledge around reports and tools and train people.
• Propose continuous improvement actions to increase efficiency.
• Within the area of expertise, act as trainer for the Line organization as needed.
