We are looking for a Data Scientist to join us in developing new ways for IKEA to build digital products that support strategic decision-making and performance management. We're using modern methodologies within cross-functional teams to keep IKEA leading in an exciting and fast-moving environment.
We'd love to talk with you if you recognize yourself in some of the following:
• Significant knowledge about and practical experience with machine learning models, especially in a commercial setting.
• High knowledge of Python for data processing and analytics, including pandas and scikit-learn.
• High knowledge of data visualization with Python, including Matplotlib and Seaborn.
• Significant knowledge of SQL for data processing and analytics.
• Great communication skills to share your findings and approaches with technical and business stakeholders.
• It's considered a merit if you have experience in applying techniques like conjoint analysis, price elasticity modelling, time series analysis, causal inference or Bayesian modelling.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure.
• Broad knowledge of collaborative software engineering practices (Git, Agile, DevOps).
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• A team player who takes ownership, builds cross-functional relationships with senior peers and enjoys sharing knowledge with more junior team members.
• A curious problem solver who wants to keep learning.
• An educational background in engineering, computer science, statistics, econometrics, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of work experience.
• Advanced communication skills with both technical and business audiences, including senior stakeholders.

You'll promote the transformation of IKEA into a more data-driven company by ensuring that data and insights are widely used in product teams in Group Digital to reinforce, alter, or largely impact decisions on business and product strategy.
As a Data Scientist, you will work closely together with Data Engineers, Data Analysts and others, in a product team to ensure the development of data science products within the Business Support domain. You will perform predictive and prescriptive modelling and develop and deploy machine learning algorithms to reinvent and grow the IKEA business in a fast-changing digital world. We would like your expertise to support us in answering business questions like:
• How should we price our services to enable us to reach our financial goals?
• Where should we open the next IKEA store to become more accessible to the many people?
• What will the IKEA store of tomorrow look like?
• Build and use forecasting models to help steer our business.
• Use data and analytics to enhance cost-consciousness in all our markets.
• Optimally distribute budget into our operations and developments.
• Assist the top management with advanced analytics to steer the enterprise for optimal value creation.

OUR TEAM WITHIN IKEA
You will work in Data & Analytics together with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Stewards and Data Architects. You will join cross-functional teams consisting of colleagues from Technology, Product and Design from the business domain of Business Support. All of you together will be creating the best solutions to support strategic enterprise decisions, financial forecasting and business planning.
