All about the role:
The Data Platform Team at Electrolux is dedicated to empowering data-driven decision-making and innovation with a robust, scalable and secure data platform built on Azure using data mesh architecture. Our team designs and implements data mesh architecture that promotes autonomy and agility across the organization. We work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product architects and data engineers to understand requirements, iterate solutions and deliver value-driven outcomes. We implement best practices for data governance, access control and compliance, leveraging latest tools and industry standards.
We are looking for a Data Engineering Framework Lead (Senior Python Developer) with strong experience in building solutions with Python and SQL. Your role as a Technical Product owner is to build, deploy, manage and support the Data Engineering (DE) framework. It has 2 main modules - Metadata driven Ingestion framework built on Azure Data factory and a Data Transformation framework that is built in-house with Python
What you'll do:
Create new templates for the Ingestion framework as new data sources are brought into the Data platform
Change/release management and engagement with Data Engineering community as new bug fixes and enhancements are deployed
Collaborate with consulting partners and peers to build, test, debug, review code, deploy and document in Confluence
Ensure that the framework is setup consistently across all Domain data landing zones and the data pipelines are built efficiently, fast and cost effective
Manage the underlying framework components to make sure they are not out of support
Act as SME for the overall Data Engineering framework and build a product roadmap based on the requirements
Manage Product backlog and prioritize it with Data Engineering Teams
Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Computer Science (or equivalent).
4+ years of hands-on experience with Python
2+ years of experience with SQL
Experience with Databricks (Pyspark, SQL)
Strong work ethic, pragmatic, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and ability to work without supervision is required
Fluent in English
Nice to have
Experience with CI/CD, Airflow and knowledge of GitHub
Knowledge of Azure platform, Delta Live Tables (DLT) and Data quality tools such as Great Expectations or Soda Core
