All about the role:
We are on an exciting transformational journey of our IT landscape and our ways of working. You will be in the middle of the Operations Data & Analytics Team, dealing with information for our Group Operations Solutions. The larger team is composed of business analysts/project managers, data engineers and developers and is crucial in delivering key company analytics initiatives in the area of supply chain, transportation, warehousing, manufacturing, purchasing and quality.
We have a complex Global IT landscape, both on and off SAP, from which our analytics solutions on SAP BW/ Azure/Power BI are integrated. We are a diverse team of different personalities, backgrounds, nationalities, and experiences but we are united in our passion for data and data driven decision making, the constant drive for change and the willingness to support each other and work as a team.
What you'll do:
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible to manage the data, processes and quality required for generating insights. In addition, you will be responsible for enhancing the solution based on business requirements and have an excellent opportunity to gain functional knowledge. Requiring close collaboration with data analysts, business analysts and architects, the ideal candidate requires a passion for data & a keen eye for detail. The role as data engineer is an exciting position with great autonomy and possibility to discover a vast area in terms of Electrolux processes and systems.
In detail, you will:
• Design, develop data pipelines with Azure Data Factory & code data processing solutions with Databricks.
• Conceptualize and implement relational database solutions within Azure Synapse, Azure SQL and Azure Data Lake
• Work close with business analysts and data analysts to understand the requirements for the end dashboard and suggest optimal data-models backend/frontend for optimal performance.
• Close collaboration with architect and other data engineers to validate the proposed solutions are in line with the guidelines
• Participate in discovery workshops to understand the business objectives and goals.
• Engage with data providers to manage data quality issues, explaining problems and pro-actively assist in providing solutions.
• Support existing solutions by proactively collaborating with platform teams & data engineers.
Who you are:
• University degree in computer science or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience from Data modelling, data management, databases, data access.
• You have experience from ETL processing in general and preferably within Azure Data Lake. Further, you have experience from several of the following: Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Python, SQL coding and (optionally) Scala.
• You are used to work in an international environment where English is the working language and using Azure DevOps.
• You demonstrate high self-leadership and are motivated by challenge and collaboration. This requires excellent communication skills as well as being used to working in a cross functional environment.
• Experience from Power-BI and DAX code as well as SAP-landscape for manufacturing company is a strong plus but most importantly, you are willing to learn anything you might be missing to develop as much as possible within this exciting area.
