hela Sverige We seek a number of skilled Data Centre Technicians to join our team at a co-location facility in Gavle, Sweden.
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills in hardware, IT, and cabling management. They should be self-motivated, results-driven, and possess a positive and humble attitude. In addition to providing technical support, the technician will contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentorship of other technicians.
Responsibilities:
•
Troubleshoot and maintain hardware, cabling, and IT systems, with expertise in at least one field.
•
Perform data centre hardware setups, startups, and shutdowns following specific instructions.
•
Diagnose and resolve issues, replacing faulty components efficiently.
•
Ensure proper grounding, labelling, and cabling according to safety protocols and deployment standards.
•
Communicate and escalate incidents as necessary.
•
Contribute to a positive team environment through information sharing and regular meetings.
•
Take ownership of service quality and user experience.
•
Conduct training on new processes, tools, and issue resolution.
•
Assist in conducting failure analysis and participate in new product training.
•
Support incident management to minimize customer impact.
Requirements:
•
Extensive knowledge of server hardware and various component failures.
•
Experience in failure analysis and problem management.
•
Familiarity with IPMI utilization for diagnostics and administering software tools.
•
Proficiency in Windows Server and WinPE OS administration.
•
Basic Linux and Windows scripting skills.
•
Network troubleshooting expertise (Layer-1, Layer-2, Layer-3).
•
Understanding of deployment technologies such as WDS, PXE, DHCP, and FTP.
•
Virtual machine setup and configuration experience.
•
Ability to work autonomously or within a team.
•
Excellent communication and feedback skills.
•
4+ years of data centre technician experience.
•
Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
•
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, CCENT, CCNA, MCP/MSCE are preferred.
•
Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or Bash is a plus.
