Data Architect Data Architect will be responsible for architecting and implementing very large scale data intelligence solutions around Azure Enterprise Data Warehouse and Operational Data Hub. A solid experience and understanding of architecting, designing and operationalization of large scale data and analytics solutions on Azure EDW is a must. Data Architect should have deep data management skills to support analytics agendas, including capabilities such as Data warehouse and Data Lake, Data engineering, on premise to Data migration, data ingestion, data curation, and data migration. Act as a technical and solution expert in the areas of Teradata data warehouse, Data warehouse on Cloud
Key Accountabilities
Provides solutions to complex business problems for area(s) of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
Involved in setting strategic direction to establish near term goals for area of responsibility
Interacts with senior management levels at a client and/or within Cognizant, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters
Has latitude in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments
Decisions have a lasting impact on area of responsibility with the potential to impact outside area of responsibility
Manages large teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Cognizant.
Design and develop features, understand customer requirements and meet business goals.
Build highly reliable software to meet the needs to the largest customers
Enhance the programmability surface of Teradata and improve the experience of the data developer.
Contribute to big data open source projects to add connectivity and support for Teradata.
Analyze fault-tolerance and high availability issues, performance and scale challenges, and solve them.
Ensure operational readiness of the services and meet the commitments to our customers regarding reliability, availability and performance.
Job Requirements
Senior Level hands-on experience on Data migration/Data Modelling, Azure, Snowflake
Analyze complex business requirements within User Stories and translate them into according Teradata technical solutions and architectural approaches * Estimate development efforts/story points
Implement User Stories in line with development guidelines, tests and documentation standards
Supports Business Analyst to support him to pre-define valuable user-stories
Define and implement the best practices in Teradata
Project Management
Team Management
Customer and Stakeholder Management Key Competencies
Ability to transform pre-given complex requirements of a user-story into a technical solution in line with development guidelines (e.g. Code Conventions, Tests, Quality Gates etc).
Detail oriented and well-structured.
Good communications skills and interpersonal skills. Qualifications * Experience with Data Lake implementations
Data Strategy and Data Governance consulting and implementation
Full life cycle development experience
Experience administering Hadoop or other Data Science and Analytics platforms using the technologies above
Ten or more years of experience dealing with complex business/technical architectures and complex client delivery.
Exceptional client management and leadership skills.
Extensive experience designing and implementing large and complex Data Lakes, Data Warehouses and Analytics projects
Knowledge in Energy and Utilities domain will be added advantage
