SMC's unit in Svedala is a global center for the development, production, and management of rock crushers used in mining and quarrying.
Within the Project Commissioning & Service organization in Svedala, one very important position is the Crusher Specialist. Our current Senior Crusher Specialist will soon retire and we are now seeking a successor, whose knowledge and experience is vital for Sandvik. You will work side by side with our Senior Crusher Specialist to gather as much information as possible about Sandvik crushers, both for historical purposes and in order to understand what future improvements to the existing crushers are needed. You will also be the dialogue partner for R&D regarding new crusher development.
Key performance areas
As Crusher Specialist you will collect and provide technical knowledge and expertise on the Sandvik crusher range and provide technical support to worldwide service organizations and production facilities. You will be profoundly and actively involved in the R&D projects and manage the technical training and training material. Furthermore, you will provide crusher training for Sandvik personnel, provide input for the crusher manuals and perform fault diagnosis. You will also represent Sandvik in difficult warranty matters.
The position involves travelling, 50-70 days per year.
Your profile
The successful candidate for this position has a strong theoretical and practical background in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, as well as several years of crusher experience. Experience from managerial and cross-functional roles is advantageous.
You willingly take the initiative in order to finish what you have started, and it is very important that you consider and prioritize safety. You have strong leadership skills: you are perceptive, can create a trusting cooperation in a natural manner and can also inspire and motivate your co-workers to create team spirit and enthusiasm for reaching the business goals. You have good communication skills and, because the work environment is global, it is essential that you are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
