The independent Risk Control department's primary goal is to protect Klarna's financial performance and reputation, by ensuring and enabling a sound risk management culture. This is done both by supporting business units in risk management and by independent monitoring and reporting. Several processes related to risk control are currently being implemented at Klarna and the department is being staffed to cope with the ambition of having efficient and Klarna specific, best practice processes in place. As a part of Klarna's continuous growth and success we are now looking for a new employee to complement and develop our driven team in Stockholm within the area of credit risk control.

In this role you will play a key role in building up the Independent Risk Control function for Klarna, focusing on credit risk. You will:

• closely cooperate with the Credit department and participate in defining the role for independent credit risk control,
• be responsible for developing risk control processes for credit risk,
• perform independent management reporting and limit follow-up for credit risk,
• analyze credit portfolio data out of a control perspective,
• follow up and assess internal controls in the credit process,
• carry out ad hoc activities related to credit risk management and control, coming from board and management.

You will have the opportunity to develop within the area of credit risk and take lead on project's related to credit risk control. You will also have the possibility to participate in projects related to other risk types.

You have personal drive and integrity and enjoy being a part of a fast-paced organization where change is the only constant. You have professional experience of credit risk management and control from the banking sector, other financial institutions or payment companies - experience from ICAAP for credit risk is a plus. You have a strong analytical ability and skills to efficiently analyze large data sets. We expect you to have an academic degree and be fluent in English (both written and spoken).
