What you will be a part of
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
Business unit Gripen Brazil within business area Saab Aeronautics is responsible for executing the Gripen Brazil contract, as well as related contracts and for follow-on business in the country. Gripen Brazil is a multi-billion contract with an execution time exceeding ten years, including delivery of a complete weapon system with 36 aircraft, as well as a large content of offset activities, the majority related to technology transfer.
We are now looking for a person to fill the position as Country Security Manager Gripen Brazil within the business unit.
Your role
In your role as the Country Security Manager Gripen Brazil you will plan, organize and manage security plans and apply the controls and processes necessary during the start-up phase of our operation in Brazil. You will be in charge of the implementation of the Brazilian program security, providing security risk management in close cooperation with the program Security Director and Site Manager at the Gripen Design and Development Network in Brazil. This role has a strong operational focus in order to quickly set the security framework for the program within Brazil.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
Lead and facilitate the implementation and maintenance of program security management systems, instructions, policies, procedures and guidelines, including management reviews and audits.
Manage and lead projects concerning security risk issues, security risk management and strategic security objectives within the Brazil operation, including leading and educating all members on site in Brazil.
Support and coordinate activities and methods to control and monitor security risks.
Ensure that resources, processes and plans are in place to identify report, manage, investigate and respond to incidents, crisis, emergencies, staff evacuation or repatriation and disasters.
Lead and manage security operations and provide expert support for the program within Brazil in the day-to day business.
The Country Security Manager Gripen Brazil reports to the Security Director Gripen Brazil, but will have a strong and frequent interface to Aeronautics Security department, as well as Saab Corporate Group Security.
The position includes travels both inside of Brazil and outside.
Your skills and experience
You have several years of work experience within an operational security role in a government, police, military, public or private security context. You have capability to control several areas of security such as corporate security and risk management/enterprise risk management, legal aspects, personnel/physical/site security management, risk and threat assessments, crime prevention and investigations, and incident and crisis management. Experience of working with information security is a merit. Together with your security background, you also have experience and understanding from business processes and management, preferable from the defense industry. You have several years of leadership experience, including project management, staff duties and operational responsibilities. International work experience is an advantage.
You have a solid personality and can act with integrity and credibility in your work. You have excellent leadership, teamwork and communication skills. You are also responsive, honest and trustworthy when working with others.
You probably have a degree, or similar education level in social/political/engineering science, law, risk management, business administration, law enforcement, army or other related areas. A formal security training (graduation or certification) or equivalent is required.
Excellent skills in English and Swedish, verbal as well as in writing are required. A cultural awareness and ability to work across cultural barriers with experience in the Brazilian culture and the Portuguese language is an advantage.
The service entails working with classified information and requires Swedish citizenship. This is an expatriate position in Brazil and is limited to 1 year with the possibility to extend 1 year at the time.
