Aurobay is looking for a Cost Engineering Expert. As Cost Engineer you will be a key member of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. What will you do?

As a Cost Engineer you work independently and in teams. The teams are involved in medium to heavy investments where fact-based negotiation is the foundation. You will collaborate with buyers, engineers and business partners. Estimating cost is done with both an engineering, manufacturing and business mind-set.

You analyze actual hardware, technical and commercial prerequisites to understand what requirements are driving cost. You will be an important center of competence coaching the buyers to enable successful negotiations.

To be successful in this role you need to develop and deploy future strategies within the commodity, work proactively with your stakeholders to understand your product/service, its market, supply base and potential innovation to find ways to increase value, cost, quality and ensure strategic sustainable business.

• Coordinate and support category teams and management with structured and strategic methods for cost analysis as well as visualizing the potential business leverage by challenging the way of working and established structures.

• Cooperate with the strategic and operational organizations in cost analysis, as well as cost and efficiency initiatives.

• Support Category Leaders with arguments and expert knowledge of production and efficiency.

• Material cost optimization and cross functional alignment to ensure multi-disciplinary concurrence.

• Evaluate and research new possibilities and trends to challenge the organization to elevate performance.

Do you fit the profile?

We believe you have a Commercial or Technical Master's degree, or equivalent working experience.

• Minimum 5-10 years' experience working as cost engineer or similar, fact-based product breakdown.

• Experience from visualizing and leveraging from commodity management, including using digital tools.
• Experience from procurement, as well as experience from, and interest in, industry and production.
• Experience from the industry, automotive or other, leading projects etc.

• Commercial or Technical Master's degree.
• Several years of work experience within procurement, sales, or manufacturing engineering in automotive or industrial.
• Specialist knowledge within at least one of the fields: foundry, forging, machining.
• Basic knowledge in tool manufacturing, assembly & automation, lean manufacturing is a merit.
• Strong negotiator.
• Analytical and curious mindset.
• Team player with cultural awareness.
• Natural coach/educator, striving to always educate and coach colleagues' skills.
• Cost Calculations using software such as TcPCM
• CAD skills is a merit

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and written
