You will be working with Python in Scrum sprints, with focus on mentoring the developers, developing test-driven development tools and improving centralized test automation. We will consider graduates with development experience and a willingness to learn.
Sungard Front Arena is building a new testing infrastructure for 130 developers, based on Python open source tools (BuildBot, nosetests, etc.). The infrastructure is used for automated testing of C++/Python/Java based components on Linux, Solaris and Windows. To take part in design, development and roll-out of this infrastructure, we are looking for developers with strong Test Driven Development skills and a will to improve other developers' experience. You must share a long-term vision of a fully tested software, while at the same time have a pragmatic approach for short term issues.
We are looking for a developer with strong interest in Test Driven Development, with the following qualities:
• A desire and will to improve the quality of our deliverables.
• Good social skills, flexible and stress tolerant.
• Good development skills, with object-oriented development focus. Will have to learn Python language.
• Excellent spoken and written English knowledge as English is our corporate language. No Swedish knowledge is necessary.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• The ability to recognize and follow through on test cases that should/could be automated.
The position requires that you:
• Work in collaboration with developers as well as other members of the QA team on QA related matters.
• Analyze development processes, propose enhancements.
• Train development teams on test methodologies and test tools.
• Contribute to test process improvements on various levels such as automation.
• Contribute to design and development of the test environment infrastructure.
